BIM money transfer flow screens

Summary

BIM is a Peruvian digital wallet that had significant usability issues, unclear information, and a dated look and feel. Through the Equals agency, we proposed a complete app redesign to improve its flows and processes.

The challenge

The project's goal was to redesign the entire app, simplifying steps, increasing information clarity, and reducing friction in both user experience and development to drive greater use of the app in Peru.

Confusing information

The app showed screens that didn't clarify what action users needed to take, causing confusion and drop-off.

Lack of clarity

Users struggled to find their contact list, know whether a contact had a BIM wallet, and see transfer fees, making the app harder to use.

Low conversion

High drop-off in the review and confirmation steps prior to sending.
